As a mother of two high school and college-age sons, Alinda Lewris developed this program based on first-hand experience and personal research. It is her desire to share with others some of the eye-opener pitfalls awaiting young adults and to provide students with strong recommendations for avoiding great gobs of serious troubles. Serving in multiple leadership roles, such as: a four-year term as grade representative for one of the nation's leading public high schools, chairman of various school committees, room parent and field trip planner, and, of course, her most cherished role --- as a mother --- Lewris has been involved in the day-to-day lives of thousands of students over the past two decades.
Alinda Lewris has spoken with hundreds of high school and college students from all walks of life about their daily concerns. She has also interviewed young adults from leading universities about college incivilities and the apparent lack of an appropriate student standard of conduct. This Essential Do's and Taboos program for Young Adults is designed to promote confident leadership skills and elevate self-esteem for young adult students.
