IAPC AMBASSADORS OF CIVILITY

Code of Ethics


IAPC AMBASSADORS OF CIVILITY agree to abide by this Code of Ethics as a condition of membership.

IAPC AMBASSADORS OF CIVILITY are dedicated to personal integrity, which is the cornerstone of protocol and etiquette.

IAPC AMBASSADORS OF CIVILITY agree to uphold high standards of professional conduct and help further the Association’s efforts to promote protocol, etiquette, and civility worldwide.

IAPC AMBASSADORS OF CIVILITY shall support the Association’s commitment to:

  • Increase educational opportunities for all who are interested in learning more about civility, country specific do?s & taboos, and international protocol.
  • Advance public awareness of the critical need for international co-operation in civility, ethics, and integrity.
  • Promote goodwill and friendship in all human relationships.
  • Cultivate awareness of the strengths that exist in diverse cultures.

IAPC AMBASSADORS OF CIVILITY shall:


  • Maintain the highest standards of personal conduct, courtesy, and civility in all communications.
  • Be honest, fair, and respectful in professional communications and actions.
  • Actively promote and encourage the highest level of ethics within the industry that the Association represents.
  • Respect the confidentiality of sensitive information obtained in the course of professional activities.
  • Strive for excellence in the profession by continually seeking advanced knowledge and skill to enhance professional competency.
  • Endeavor to understand other cultures and their function in human behavior and society, recognizing the strengths that exist in all cultures.
  • Not engage in discrimination based on race, sex, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability.
  • Not distribute or provide their User Name or Password to others or infringe upon IAPC's intellectual property including copyrights and trademarks.
  • Comply with IAPC's privacy notice and linking agreements.

I hereby apply for membership as an IAPC AMBASSADOR OF CIVILITY.  I attest to the accuracy of the information given in my application and am prepared to verify as needed.  I agree to abide by IAPC's Code of Ethics, support IAPC's objectives, and work toward maintaining and enhancing the prestige of the protocol and etiquette industry.
