SAMPLE of an IAPC EVENT!
LEADING INDUSTRY ICONS AND ACCLAIMED AUTHORS MET UNDER IAPC BANNER in Washington DC for the Biennial Executive Education / Leadership Conference

Washington DC - FOR THE FIRST TIME IN PROTOCOL AND ETIQUETTE HISTORY, the International Association of Protocol Consultants® gathered together in a single forum the Industry’s leading icons and acclaimed authors during the Executive Education Conference, Mastering Protocol, Etiquette and Civility, held at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC.  This milestone fulfills the Founder’s goal [Alinda Lewris] for IAPC to be the welcoming umbrella providing opportunities to connect for all involved in protocol, etiquette, and civility arenas.

The distinguished presenters at this spectacular program included:

*Roger E. Axtell (Author of Do’s and Taboos series on international travel)
*Letitia Baldrige (Jackie Kennedy’s social secretary and author of 23
etiquette books)
*Dr. PM Forni (Founder of Johns Hopkins University Civility Project)
*Judith Martin (Author and Newspaper columnist "Miss Manners")
*Peggy Post (Director of the Emily Post Institute)

Also presenting on the same dais were IAPC authorized instructors:

*Teresa Babb, Program Manager and Instructor, Joint Military Attaché School, United States Defense Intelligence Agency
*Cherlynn Conetsco, President, IAPC Certification Council Washington DC
*Anna Hart, Social Director, United States Naval Academy
*John Crawford Howell, President, Smart Business in a Flat World
*Ray Leki, Director, Transition Center, National Foreign Affairs Training Center United States Department of State
*Alinda Lewris, Partner, Baldrige & Lewris

"I have seen many conferences and seminars over the years, but the ones produced by Alinda Lewris for IAPC are absolutely terrific!  It would make an excellent case study for business students, because she does it right. ... She not only persuaded well-known, prominent people to address her seminar participants, she kept the pace up - no boring, lagging parts on the agenda.  I am in awe of Ms. Lewris!"

Letitia Baldrige, Author, Taste

"What a fabulous idea of Alinda Lewris!  She set out to round up those of us who call "etiquette" our life-work and passion - and she managed to do just that!  I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to meet the others in the field of manners.  We had a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other and to share ideas in a friendly and inclusive forum.  I look forward to future gatherings, and send my sincere thanks to Alinda and her IAPC associates."

Peggy Post, Director, The Emily Post Institute

Alinda Lewris - What a privilege it was being part of the IAPC event!  Bringing together the most prestigious voices in the field of etiquette today was a memorable accomplishment.  I want to believe that the industry will take to heart your message of inclusion.  And I hope that IAPC will grow and prosper with you at the helm for many years to come."

Dr. P.M. Forni, Founder of The Civility Initiative at Johns Hopkins University

"Alinda, It was a personal and professional thrill to meet so many protocol experts at your conference in May.  IAPC has crossed new borders by promoting an "all inclusive community" and elevating the professionalism of Protocol."

Roger E. Axtell, Author, Essentials Do's and Taboos

"I think we should all salute Alinda Lewris and thank her for doing the impossible - getting a group of competing manners and etiquette luminaries together for her IAPC conferences.  Corralling them to come to Washington DC for meetings was a sterling idea to begin with, but bringing it off with the panache and enthusiasm she did made it a golden event.  Everyone seemed to have had a good time passing on their knowledge to others.  To me, that in itself was an example of wonderfully good manners in action!" - - - Letitia Baldrige
